What is to be expected at the first consultation?
A Holistic Therapist treats the person as a whole and will therefore conduct a confidential assessment of your general health, life style, state of mind and body and the general state of your life at the time of requiring the treatment. This consultation is carried out in addition to the first treatment and you should therefore expect this session to last longer than subsequent sessions. This is also the time when the Therapist is getting to know you and your requirements, so the more information you give the more beneficial your treatments will be to you. On rare occasions the Therapist may ask to meet with you before your first treatment, especially if you have a condition that needs to be researched before treatment can be given. The more information you can supply the Therapist with the easier it will be for her to learn about the condition. If you have a condition which could be contra-indicated to the treatment always seek medical advice before going for the initial treatment. The Therapist will advise this also when you ring to book your first treatment if you give her this information. Holistic Therapists are qualified doctors and should never take the place of your local GP.
